MyGLS Professional vs ProWebSms Business Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and ProWebSms Business Messaging are vastly different Shopify apps despite sharing the 'Order tracking' category. MyGLS Professional positions itself as a comprehensive solution for merchants using GLS for shipping, particularly in Eastern Europe. Its core strength lies in unlimited label printing and deep integration with GLS parcel shop networks, automatized order status tracking, and country-specific solutions. ProWebSms Business Messaging, on the other hand, focuses on leveraging SMS for business communications, its core functionalities being communication (which can include, but is not limited to, order tracking). The target audience for MyGLS Professional is clearly merchants heavily reliant on GLS, specifically those needing features like parcel shop integration and unlimited label generation, as well as solutions for the Romanian postal system. Conversely, ProWebSms Business Messaging likely serves merchants needing SMS-based customer communication strategies. The vast difference in review count and average rating signals MyGLS Professional as more mature and tested within its niche, whereas ProWebSms Business Messaging is a more nascent tool.

Our Verdict
If your business utilizes GLS, particularly in Eastern Europe, and you need unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order status tracking, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. The higher rating and larger review base suggest a reliable and well-regarded solution for this specific use case. However, if your primary need is to communicate with customers via SMS for marketing, order updates, or other purposes, ProWebSms Business Messaging is the more appropriate tool. It's important to note that ProWebSms is not specific to shipping or GLS. Therefore, it serves a wider user base than MyGLS Professional.
Given the clear difference in core functionality, there is little overlap between the two apps. MyGLS Professional is specifically for merchants who ship with GLS, while ProWebSms Business Messaging is for those who want to communicate with customers via SMS.
