MyGLS Professional vs Purolatorfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Purolator cater to distinct shipping needs within the Shopify ecosystem. MyGLS Professional focuses on GLS Eastern Europe (General Logistics Systems) shipments, offering a comprehensive solution with unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, automated order status tracking, and COD fee handling. It appears to be a third-party app designed to extend GLS's capabilities. Purolator, on the other hand, integrates directly with Purolator's services, emphasizing efficiency, online sales improvement, and shipping savings within Canada through its partnership with netParcel. It's more geographically focused and seems geared towards Canadian merchants using Purolator as their primary carrier. The most significant difference lies in their geographic focus and carrier integration. MyGLS Professional is for merchants shipping with GLS in Eastern Europe, providing features tailored to that specific service, such as handling Romanian zip codes. Purolator targets merchants shipping within Canada through Purolator, providing real-time rates and order management. The user reviews also present a stark contrast, with MyGLS Professional enjoying widespread positive feedback while Purolator suffers from a very low rating and minimal reviews, suggesting potential usability or performance issues.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants predominantly shipping within Eastern Europe using GLS, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. Its unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and high rating strongly suggest a user-friendly and feature-rich experience tailored to GLS workflows. The numerous positive reviews reinforce this recommendation.
Conversely, Purolator is designed for Canadian merchants heavily reliant on Purolator. While it offers potential cost savings through netParcel, the extremely low rating and limited reviews raise significant concerns about its usability and reliability. Unless the Purolator app undergoes substantial improvements, merchants should exercise extreme caution before adopting it and carefully consider alternative Purolator integration methods or other shipping solutions.
