MyGLS Professional vs ShippingChimpfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and ShippingChimp are both Shopify apps aimed at streamlining order fulfillment, but they cater to vastly different audiences. MyGLS Professional, despite being a third-party application, is positioned as a comprehensive solution specifically for merchants using GLS General Logistics Systems in Eastern Europe. It offers unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, COD fee handling, and order tracking, indicating a focus on automating GLS-specific workflows. ShippingChimp, on the other hand, is a more general eCommerce delivery platform designed for Canadian businesses, with a focus on carrier integration, automated label printing, and real-time order tracking across various carriers. The key difference lies in their geographic and carrier focus. MyGLS Professional is deeply integrated with GLS in Eastern Europe, offering specialized features like autofilling Romanian zip codes, making it ideal for merchants heavily reliant on GLS for shipping within that region. ShippingChimp's strength lies in its broader carrier integration and focus on simplifying shipping operations for Canadian businesses, offering features like batch order processing and real-time tracking that are applicable across different carriers operating in Canada. The number of reviews also indicates a higher level of user trust and wider adoption for MyGLS Professional at the time of data collection.

Our Verdict
The choice between MyGLS Professional and ShippingChimp depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs and location. If a merchant primarily ships within Eastern Europe using GLS, MyGLS Professional is the clear winner due to its specialized features and GLS integration. The higher number of reviews also suggests a more mature and reliable product at the time the data was taken.
However, if a merchant operates in Canada and utilizes a variety of carriers, ShippingChimp is likely the better option. Its focus on broader carrier integration and general shipping automation tools makes it a more versatile solution for Canadian eCommerce businesses. While it has fewer reviews at the time of the data collection, it could still be a viable option if the merchant needs the multi-carrier support it offers. Given the difference in review volume in 2026, investigating more up-to-date app ratings and reviews is recommended.
