MyGLS Professional vs Skydropx: Rates and shippingfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Skydropx: Rates and shipping are both Shopify apps in the 'Shipping' category, but they cater to significantly different needs and geographic locations. MyGLS Professional is focused on GLS (General Logistics Systems) integration, specifically for GLS Eastern Europe, providing unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order status tracking. This makes it ideal for merchants heavily reliant on GLS for their Eastern European shipments. In contrast, Skydropx is a logistics software company focused on LATAM, offering shipping rate quotes in the shopping cart, order management, and guide creation. It is positioned as a way to facilitate shipments and potentially increase profit in the Latin American market. The key difference lies in their target markets and shipping carrier focus. MyGLS Professional is designed for businesses already using or planning to use GLS in Eastern Europe, offering features that streamline GLS-specific processes. Skydropx, on the other hand, targets merchants in Latin America looking for a comprehensive shipping solution with carrier rate comparison and order management capabilities. While MyGLS provides specific carrier integration, Skydropx appears to offer broader carrier options within the LATAM region, though this is implicitly stated and not directly specified in the provided information.

Our Verdict
If your business primarily ships within Eastern Europe using GLS, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice due to its dedicated GLS integration, unlimited label printing, and parcel shop features. The higher rating and larger number of reviews also suggest a strong level of user satisfaction. However, for merchants operating in Latin America looking for a more generalized shipping solution with multiple carrier options, Skydropx is the better fit. Skydropx's ability to provide shipping quotes in the cart and manage orders centrally offers a broader approach suitable for businesses that aren't tied to a single carrier like GLS. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's geographic focus and preferred shipping carrier.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a business shipping exclusively within Eastern Europe using GLS?
MyGLS Professional is the superior choice due to its specialized integration with GLS, unlimited label printing, and parcel shop features tailored for the Eastern European market.
Can Skydropx be used for shipping outside of Latin America?
The description focuses primarily on LATAM. While technically possible, it is not designed or optimized for other regions, and other carrier options may be limited or non-existent outside of LATAM.
Does MyGLS Professional support carriers other than GLS?
No, MyGLS Professional is specifically designed for GLS General Logistics Systems.
Which app provides a better return on investment (ROI)?
It depends on the specific business. If a merchant relies heavily on GLS in Eastern Europe, MyGLS Professional's unlimited label printing and streamlined GLS process could provide significant cost savings. However, Skydropx's ability to provide shipping quotes in the cart and manage orders efficiently may translate to increased sales and customer satisfaction, resulting in a better ROI for businesses in Latin America.
Which app has a lower learning curve?
Based on the descriptions, it's hard to definitively say. MyGLS Professional might have a steeper initial learning curve due to its GLS-specific features, but once set up, the unlimited label printing and automated order status tracking could simplify daily tasks. Skydropx's promise of easy guide creation and order management suggests a user-friendly interface, but more information would be needed to assess the actual ease of use.
