MyGLS Professional vs Starshipit shipping automationfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Starshipit shipping automation are both Shopify apps designed to streamline the shipping process, but they cater to distinct merchant needs. MyGLS Professional is a specialized solution focused primarily on GLS (General Logistics Systems) shipping within Eastern Europe. Its strength lies in its deep integration with GLS services, offering unlimited label creation, parcel shop integration, and localized features like automatic Romanian zip code completion. This makes it ideal for merchants heavily reliant on GLS for their Eastern European shipments. Starshipit, on the other hand, is a broader shipping automation platform designed to integrate with multiple major couriers, including Australia Post, DHL Express, and Royal Mail. It focuses on providing a comprehensive shipping experience with features like automated rate comparison, branded tracking, and self-service returns. Its strengths lie in its flexibility and its ability to cater to a wider range of merchants who utilize multiple carriers. While its rating is slightly lower than MyGLS Professional, it boasts a higher number of reviews, potentially indicating a larger user base and broader applicability. Ultimately, the choice depends on the specific shipping needs of the merchant and their reliance on GLS.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who primarily use GLS for shipping within Eastern Europe, MyGLS Professional is the clear winner. Its specialized features, such as unlimited GLS label printing, parcel shop integration, and Romanian zip code automation, directly address their needs. The perfect 5/5 rating, although based on fewer reviews, suggests high user satisfaction within its niche.
However, for merchants who utilize a variety of carriers and require a more comprehensive shipping automation solution, Starshipit is the better choice. Its broader courier integrations, automated rate comparison, branded tracking, and self-service returns offer a more versatile solution. While its rating is slightly lower, the higher number of reviews suggests it caters to a wider audience and provides a more general shipping automation experience. If you're shipping across multiple regions and using different carriers, Starshipit provides the features to grow your business.
