MyGLS Professional vs Updatrr WhatsApp Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Updatrr WhatsApp Notifications, while both listed under the 'Orders' and 'Order tracking' categories on Shopify, address vastly different needs. MyGLS Professional is a comprehensive shipping solution primarily for merchants utilizing GLS (specifically in Eastern Europe, based on the description) seeking unlimited label printing and parcel shop integration. Its strength lies in automating and streamlining the GLS shipping process, removing limitations on label generation, and offering features tailored to that specific carrier. Updatrr WhatsApp Notifications, on the other hand, focuses on enhancing customer engagement and driving sales through WhatsApp communication. It aims to recover abandoned carts, provide order updates, and facilitate marketing campaigns via WhatsApp, appealing to merchants looking to leverage the power of personalized communication. MyGLS Professional's core value proposition is efficiency and automation within the GLS shipping framework. It's ideal for businesses handling a high volume of GLS shipments and requiring advanced features like COD fee handling and automatic zip code filling. Updatrr's focus is on customer relationship management and sales optimization. It excels at leveraging WhatsApp for personalized communication, abandoned cart recovery, and real-time order updates. The two apps solve fundamentally different problems, so the 'better' app depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily using GLS shipping, especially in Eastern Europe, and needing to streamline their shipping process with unlimited label printing and advanced features, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. It focuses on making the shipping process as efficient as possible. However, if a merchant's priority is to improve customer engagement, recover abandoned carts, and leverage WhatsApp for marketing and order updates, then Updatrr WhatsApp Notifications is the more suitable option. It caters to businesses looking to foster stronger customer relationships through personalized communication. If a merchant uses a variety of shipping methods besides GLS, and needs marketing automation and personalization, Updatrr has the edge.
