MyGLS Professional vs WorkMatefor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and WorkMate are both 5-star rated Shopify apps in the 'Orders' category, but they serve entirely different purposes and target distinct merchant types. MyGLS Professional focuses on simplifying GLS (General Logistics Systems) shipping, particularly for businesses in Eastern Europe. It streamlines label creation, parcel shop integration, order tracking, and other shipping-related tasks, boasting unlimited label printing. WorkMate, on the other hand, is designed for merchants using Shopify Point of Sale (POS) who need a robust work order management system. It facilitates creating, managing, and tracking work orders, handling vendors, and managing inventory, linking them to sales transactions. The key difference lies in their functionality: MyGLS Professional optimizes shipping logistics within the GLS network, providing features like parcel shop integration and automated tracking, while WorkMate provides an all-in-one solution for managing work orders within a POS environment, including inventory management and vendor communication. Furthermore, MyGLS Professional highlights its focus on Eastern European GLS clients, suggesting region-specific adaptations that WorkMate lacks. The significant difference in the number of reviews (123 vs. 4) also implies a substantial difference in user base and potentially a longer track record for MyGLS Professional.

Our Verdict
MyGLS Professional is the clear choice for Shopify merchants primarily shipping with GLS, especially within Eastern Europe. Its focus on streamlining the GLS shipping process, unlimited label printing, and parcel shop integrations make it a valuable tool for businesses heavily reliant on GLS. The higher number of reviews suggests a more mature and widely adopted solution within its niche.
WorkMate is specifically tailored for Shopify merchants using the POS system who need a solution for creating, managing, and tracking work orders. Its vendor management and POS integration features make it a good choice for service-based businesses or those needing detailed control over internal workflows related to sales transactions, work orders, and inventory received on the POS. If your needs are solely focused on shipping integration, especially with GLS, MyGLS is the better app. If work order management is critical and you use Shopify POS, WorkMate is more suitable.
