Our Verdict
The choice between MyGLS Professional and Yanet: Returns and Exchanges is straightforward. If your business relies heavily on GLS for shipping within Eastern Europe and you require unlimited label printing and features like parcel shop integration, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. It's a specialized solution designed to optimize your GLS shipping workflows. However, if your priority is to provide a seamless returns and exchanges experience for your customers, regardless of the shipping carrier used, then Yanet: Returns and Exchanges is the more suitable option. It addresses a completely different aspect of the customer journey and aims to improve customer satisfaction by simplifying the often-challenging returns process.
Essentially, they are not competitors, and a merchant could even utilize both apps if they have both GLS-heavy shipping requirements *and* need an efficient returns management system. One is for efficient outgoing parcels, while the other is for simplified incoming returns. Consider your most pressing logistical challenge, and the selection becomes obvious.
Common Questions
Does MyGLS Professional work with shipping carriers other than GLS?
No, MyGLS Professional is specifically designed for GLS (General Logistics Systems) and focuses on their Eastern European network. It is optimized for GLS workflows, not a general multi-carrier solution.
Can I customize the returns portal's appearance with Yanet: Returns and Exchanges?
Yes, Yanet: Returns and Exchanges explicitly states that it supports editing the text, banner, and colors of the portal to match your store's style.
Does MyGLS Professional handle returns or just outbound shipping?
MyGLS Professional primarily focuses on outbound shipping label generation, order tracking, and other related features for GLS. It does not provide native returns management functionality.
Does Yanet: Returns and Exchanges integrate with my existing Shopify theme?
The description mentions an 'embedded public portal,' suggesting integration within your existing site. However, details on the level of integration and potential theme conflicts are not explicitly provided. Further investigation or contacting the developer is recommended.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Ease of use is subjective and not directly addressable from the provided data. However, Yanet: Returns and Exchanges' claim of a 'quick and clear flow-based solution' suggests a user-friendly interface. MyGLS Professional, while specialized, may require more technical knowledge of GLS shipping processes. User reviews beyond the limited count available would provide a better insight.
