Negate ‑ Bot Protection vs Ongoing Disable Right Clickfor Shopify (2026)
Negate ‑ Bot Protection and Ongoing Disable Right Click both address fraud prevention on Shopify stores, but target very different problems. Negate focuses on preventing bot traffic from skewing marketing data, wasting ad spend, and generating fraudulent orders. It achieves this by blocking bots before they trigger marketing pixels, filtering them from analytics, and allowing custom rules to block payments based on various criteria. Ongoing Disable Right Click, on the other hand, takes a simpler approach, likely aiming to protect store content by preventing users from easily copying images or text via right-clicking. The difference in ratings and review count also suggests distinct user bases. Negate, with significantly more reviews, likely serves a broader market of merchants concerned about bot-related issues impacting their marketing and sales. Ongoing Disable Right Click, with fewer reviews, may cater to a niche market focused on protecting intellectual property or simply aiming to present a more polished browsing experience by disabling right-click functionality. Negate offers a comprehensive suite of bot protection features, while Ongoing Disable Right Click is more focused on a single, arguably less critical, aspect of site security.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned about bot traffic inflating their marketing spend and skewing their analytics data, Negate ‑ Bot Protection is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set addresses various aspects of bot-related fraud and provides tools for customization. Ongoing Disable Right Click is suitable for merchants who are mainly concerned about protecting their website content from easy copying via right-clicking and don't need advanced bot protection.
Given the limited information about Ongoing Disable Right Click, it is difficult to recommend it over Negate unless the merchant has a very specific and isolated need to disable right-clicking. Negate provides broader and more substantial protection against a more costly and pervasive problem (bot traffic).
