Neutek Slack Alerts vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Neutek Slack Alerts and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications both aim to improve Shopify store management by integrating with Slack for real-time notifications. However, they differ significantly in their current traction and breadth of features. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications, with a perfect 5/5 rating from 13 reviews, focuses on delivering instant order notifications and reports directly within Slack. It seems to cater to merchants primarily concerned with order tracking and high-level sales data. Neutek Slack Alerts, currently unrated and without reviews, promises a more comprehensive alert system covering orders, checkouts, and inventory changes. Neutek's value proposition lies in its broader scope, offering customizable notifications with filters and the ability to specify Slack channels and user mentions. This suggests a potential appeal to larger teams needing more granular control over their Slack notifications. Ting, on the other hand, emphasizes simplicity and ease of use with a one-click setup and a focus on order-related data. While Neutek hints at a more robust feature set, its lack of reviews and a zero rating create a significant disadvantage compared to Ting's positive social proof.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with tracking orders and receiving basic sales reports quickly and easily, Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the safer and more immediately valuable choice, thanks to its positive rating and established user base. Its simple setup and focus on essential data points make it ideal for smaller businesses or those new to Slack integration.
If a merchant requires a more comprehensive solution covering a wider range of store events (including inventory changes) and needs granular control over notifications (channel mentions, filters), Neutek Slack Alerts *could* be a contender. However, the lack of reviews and zero rating represents a significant risk. Merchants choosing Neutek would essentially be acting as early adopters and should proceed with caution, potentially waiting for reviews to emerge before committing. Consider starting with Ting and evaluating Neutek if needs expand beyond order tracking.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Ting ‑ Slack Notifications boasts a "Simple One-Click Setup," suggesting a faster and more straightforward onboarding experience compared to Neutek Slack Alerts, which simply states "Easy Setup, No Coding Required."
Which app offers better reporting capabilities?
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications explicitly states offering "Daily, weekly,Monthly" order reports. Neutek Slack Alerts does not specifically mention reporting features, implying that Ting provides superior built-in reporting.
Which app is better for large teams?
Neutek Slack Alerts might be better suited for larger teams because it allows customizing Slack channel and user mentions on a per alert basis, promoting targeted communication. Ting does support multiple channels and teams, but the level of granular control may be less. However, this is speculative given the lack of reviews for Neutek.
Which app handles inventory updates?
Only Neutek Slack Alerts explicitly mentions sending alerts for inventory changes. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications focuses primarily on order notifications and reports, so it likely does not support inventory updates.
Which app offers better value for money?
