Nex Reorder Payment method vs Quantity Selector Plusfor Shopify (2026)
Nex Reorder Payment method and Quantity Selector Plus both aim to improve the Shopify checkout experience, but address very different problems. Nex Reorder Payment method focuses on optimizing the *payment* portion of checkout by allowing merchants to customize the order and visibility of payment options based on various conditions like product, customer, and location. Its primary goal is to reduce chargebacks and shipping fees. Quantity Selector Plus, conversely, aims to improve the *product quantity adjustment* aspect of checkout. It allows customers to directly adjust quantities within the checkout, addressing a perceived limitation of standard Shopify functionality. The target audiences are also distinct. Nex Reorder Payment method targets merchants concerned with payment-related costs and customer frustration due to limited payment options. This is especially useful for stores selling internationally or with specific product/customer payment preferences. Quantity Selector Plus, on the other hand, targets merchants who believe improving quantity selection will reduce cart abandonment and boost sales. This could be particularly relevant for stores selling items where customers frequently adjust quantities at the last minute. The ease of use and value proposition are also distinct, with Nex focusing on reducing costs related to incorrect payments, while Quantity Selector focuses on improving UX in the checkout.

Our Verdict
For merchants experiencing high rates of chargebacks or facing challenges with managing diverse payment preferences across customer segments, Nex Reorder Payment method is likely the better choice. Its focus on customizing and controlling the payment options presented to customers directly addresses those specific pain points. The positive rating and existing reviews suggest a reliable solution, although more data points would be more conclusive.
Conversely, if a merchant believes their cart abandonment rate is significantly impacted by difficulties customers face in adjusting quantities during checkout, Quantity Selector Plus offers a targeted solution. However, the lack of reviews and rating data makes its reliability and effectiveness uncertain. This app is suited for merchants who prioritize enhancing customer experience in the checkout, or those selling items commonly needing quantity adjustments.
