Nexi Checkout Vipps vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Nexi Checkout Vipps and Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD are Shopify apps in the Payments category, but they address very different needs. Nexi Checkout Vipps is narrowly focused on enabling Vipps payments for Norwegian merchants. Its core strength is its localized checkout experience for Norwegian customers, aiming for high conversion rates by simplifying the payment process to exclusively use Vipps. However, it currently lacks any user reviews, indicating a potential lack of adoption or very recent release. Partialy, on the other hand, offers a suite of flexible payment options, including partial payments, cash on delivery (COD) configurations, and buy now, pay later (BNPL) functionality, catering to a broader range of merchants seeking to reduce risk and improve sales conversion through flexible payment terms.

Our Verdict
Nexi Checkout Vipps is only appropriate for merchants operating in Norway who want to offer Vipps as the *only* payment option. Its value lies in streamlining the checkout process for Vipps users. Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD is suitable for a much wider audience of merchants who want to offer flexible payment plans to reduce risk associated with returns and improve conversion. If you need advanced COD rules, partial payments, or deferred payment options, Partialy is the clear choice. The lack of reviews and narrow focus of Nexi Checkout Vipps makes it a riskier choice unless your needs perfectly align with its limited functionality.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Partialy is likely to increase sales more broadly due to its flexible payment options, attracting customers who might not otherwise purchase. Nexi Checkout Vipps *might* increase sales in Norway by making the checkout process more convenient for Vipps users, but this is unproven.
Which app is easier to set up?
Nexi Checkout Vipps claims quick installation and easy configuration. Partialy doesn't make a specific claim about ease of use, so it's difficult to compare definitively.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it's unlikely to be beneficial. Nexi Checkout Vipps forces Vipps to be the only payment option, negating the value of Partialy's flexible payment options. It's more efficient to choose one based on your primary payment strategy.
Which app is better for international customers?
Partialy is designed for global merchants, while Nexi Checkout Vipps is specifically for Norway. Therefore, Partialy is the better option for international customers (excluding Norwegian Vipps users).
Which app has better support?
Neither app description mentions specific support details. The higher rating and review count of Partialy suggest a potentially more active user base and therefore possibly better indirect support, but direct support quality is unknown for both.
