NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI vs Shopify Knowledge Basefor Shopify (2026)
Both NotFoundBot: Broken Link AI and Shopify Knowledge Base aim to optimize a Shopify store, but they address fundamentally different problems. NotFoundBot focuses on recovering lost sales due to broken links by automatically redirecting users and providing chat assistance. It directly addresses user experience and conversion rates by ensuring visitors find what they're looking for, even if a link is broken. Its target audience is any online store concerned about lost revenue from broken links and wanting a seamless integration for sales improvements. It handles errors and user redirection which requires little merchant input after the initial setup. Shopify Knowledge Base, in contrast, is all about controlling how AI agents answer questions about your store. It allows merchants to view and customize FAQs presented by AI shopping agents to ensure accurate brand representation and highlight unique selling points. It targets merchants concerned about the accuracy and quality of AI-driven customer interactions, especially regarding store policies and product information. Its strength is in proactive management of AI agent interactions rather than reactive problem-solving. Therefore, while both sit in the 'Site optimization - Other' category, they cater to very different aspects of optimization.
