Our Verdict
The choice between NotifyMe and VerifyID is highly dependent on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant requires a general-purpose app to display warnings and labels across their Shopify store, NotifyMe's strong rating and existing user base suggest it's a reliable option. However, if a merchant operates in Denmark or Sweden, sells age-restricted products, and needs to comply with local regulations (L173 or HSLF-FS 2019:20), VerifyID is the only viable choice, despite the lack of initial reviews. The absence of reviews for VerifyID presents a risk, but the core functionality it provides is essential for legal compliance in its target market.
