Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to automatically offer attractive shipping discounts to reduce cart abandonment and reward customers based on their order details, Octolize Shipping Discounts is the better choice. Its focus on ease of use and flexible discount rules makes it accessible for a wider range of merchants. However, if you require granular control over shipping rates based on factors like product variations (SKU, tag), zip codes, distance, and need advanced local delivery management features (time slots, order delivery dates), Shipping & Delivery - ShipZip is the superior option. The slightly steeper technical hurdle associated with ShipZip's Carrier Calculated Shipping API requirement is outweighed by its advanced functionality for complex shipping scenarios. ShipZip, due to its robust feature set, is better suited for merchants with complex shipping needs and a potentially larger budget for implementation and API access.
