Odyssey ‑ 3D Virtual Stores vs TryOnMe Glasses Virtual Try Onfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both Odyssey ‑ 3D Virtual Stores and TryOnMe Glasses Virtual Try On aim to enhance the Shopify shopping experience using 3D/AR/VR technologies. However, they cater to vastly different needs. Odyssey ‑ 3D Virtual Stores offers a broader solution, providing merchants with customizable 3D virtual storefronts to showcase their entire product catalog. It focuses on creating an immersive and engaging overall shopping environment, aiming to increase sales and customer retention through enhanced product interaction and exploration. It allows shoppers to 'teleport' around a complete virtual store, creating a full shopping experience. TryOnMe Glasses Virtual Try On, conversely, is a niche application specializing in virtual try-on experiences for eyewear. It provides customers the ability to visualize how glasses will look on them before making a purchase. This addresses a specific pain point in the online eyewear market, reducing returns and improving customer confidence. While both apps share the use of 3D/AR/VR, Odyssey targets a wide range of products and merchants wanting a complete store transformation, while TryOnMe serves a very specialized product category and solves a specific try-before-you-buy challenge for glasses retailers.

Our Verdict
The choice between Odyssey ‑ 3D Virtual Stores and TryOnMe Glasses Virtual Try On depends entirely on the merchant's product category and goals. If a merchant wants to create a fully immersive and engaging virtual store experience for a broad product range, Odyssey ‑ 3D Virtual Stores is the clear choice. Its focus on customizable themes, easy onboarding, and interactive product displays makes it ideal for businesses looking to revamp their online presence and boost sales through a unique shopping experience.
However, if a merchant specifically sells eyewear, TryOnMe Glasses Virtual Try On offers a targeted solution to a key challenge: allowing customers to virtually try on glasses before buying. This app directly addresses the need for visualization and fit, leading to reduced returns and increased customer satisfaction within the eyewear niche. While Odyssey is more ambitious, TryOnMe provides a high-value, specialized feature. For the vast majority of Shopify stores, however, Odyssey offers more benefit.
