Omnibus ‑ EU Compliant Price vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
Omnibus - EU Compliant Price and Quick Quote are Shopify apps addressing pricing but cater to entirely different needs. Omnibus focuses on legal compliance for merchants operating within the European Union, specifically adhering to the Omnibus Directive. It aims to automatically track and display the lowest price of a product within the past 30 days, ensuring merchants avoid potential fines and maintain transparency with customers. Quick Quote, on the other hand, provides a mechanism for customers to request custom quotes for products directly through the cart, facilitating personalized pricing and negotiation. This is beneficial for merchants selling complex or high-value items where fixed pricing may not be optimal.

Our Verdict
Omnibus - EU Compliant Price is the clear choice for any Shopify merchant operating within the European Union and subject to the Omnibus Directive. Its automated price tracking and customizable widget make compliance straightforward. Quick Quote is best suited for businesses selling products where negotiated or custom pricing is common, enabling them to handle bulk orders, customized products, or scenarios where a fixed price list isn't appropriate. For standard retail operations not requiring custom quotes and not based in the EU, neither app is likely necessary.
