Ongoing Disable Right Click vs Securify ‑ Block IP & Countryfor Shopify (2026)
Ongoing Disable Right Click and Securify ‑ Block IP & Country both aim to provide anti-theft solutions for Shopify stores, but they approach the problem from different angles. Ongoing Disable Right Click focuses on preventing content theft by disabling right-click functionality. Securify ‑ Block IP & Country, on the other hand, emphasizes security by allowing merchants to block specific IP addresses and countries from accessing their store. This provides a more proactive and comprehensive security measure beyond simply preventing right-clicks. The primary difference lies in their scope: Ongoing Disable Right Click is a more targeted tool, specifically aimed at preventing image and text theft via right-clicking. Securify ‑ Block IP & Country offers a broader approach, designed to combat potentially malicious traffic and unauthorized access. The choice between the two will depend on the merchant's specific security concerns and priorities. A merchant overly concerned about IP and country attacks would lean towards Securify, while a merchant solely concerned about easily downloaded images would use Ongoing Disable Right Click.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Ongoing Disable Right Click and Securify ‑ Block IP & Country depends entirely on the specific security needs of the Shopify merchant. If the primary concern is preventing casual content theft through right-clicking, Ongoing Disable Right Click offers a simple and targeted solution. The limited number of reviews, however, suggests a smaller user base.
For merchants facing concerns about potentially harmful traffic, bot attacks, or region-specific threats, Securify ‑ Block IP & Country is the more robust and comprehensive option, despite its lower rating. The higher number of reviews suggests it is a more established and actively used application, indicating a greater level of feature richness and support, even if it comes with a potentially steeper learning curve. Securify is generally the better choice if actual security is needed, not just deterring basic scraping.
