Ongoing Disable Right Click vs ShopProtect: Protect Your Shopfor Shopify (2026)
Ongoing Disable Right Click and ShopProtect: Protect Your Shop both aim to protect Shopify stores from theft, but they take different approaches. Ongoing Disable Right Click focuses solely on disabling right-click functionality. ShopProtect, on the other hand, provides a broader suite of anti-theft features, including disabling right-click, hiding theme names, blocking shortcuts, preventing drag & drop, and blocking text selection. Due to both apps only having 4 reviews, it is difficult to compare user sentiment. More data is required to compare which app is better. ShopProtect aims to be an all-in-one solution for merchants without coding expertise who want to implement various security measures quickly. Its description suggests a beginner-friendly experience with easy-to-use toggles for each feature. Ongoing Disable Right Click, due to its singular focus, likely appeals to merchants primarily concerned about preventing image theft or those who prefer a simple, lightweight solution. The lack of features may also mean less potential issues from compatibility with certain themes and apps.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing simplicity and solely focused on disabling right-click functionality, Ongoing Disable Right Click may be the better choice due to its laser focus and potentially easier setup. However, given the identical number of reviews and relatively close rating (5 vs 4.5), more user feedback is required to assess true performance.
ShopProtect: Protect Your Shop is recommended for merchants who desire a comprehensive suite of anti-theft measures and lack coding skills. Its broader feature set offers more robust protection against various types of theft, making it a valuable option for businesses with valuable intellectual property, images, or code. The toggle-based control system promises ease of use for non-technical users. However, the slightly lower rating suggests some potential downsides or areas for improvement. Merchants should investigate potential issues before fully committing.
