Ongoing Disable Right Click vs WeTech‑Dispute Resolutionfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, choosing between 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' and 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' presents a stark contrast. 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' (5/5, 4 reviews) focuses on a niche security feature: preventing users from easily copying content from your store. This suggests a target audience concerned with intellectual property theft or protecting unique visual assets. The limited number of reviews, while positive, indicate it's a relatively small or new app. 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution,' on the other hand, targets a much broader and potentially more critical area: managing and preventing chargebacks. Its headline and description highlight integration with Mastercard/Ethoca and Visa for real-time dispute alerts and auto-refunds, aiming to lower chargeback rates and improve customer satisfaction. The core difference lies in their functionality and target problem. 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' offers a preventative measure against content theft, potentially appealing to businesses selling original designs or copyrighted material. 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' is reactive, addressing issues after they've arisen, specifically disputes and chargebacks. It's aimed at businesses wanting to proactively manage their dispute resolution process, lower chargeback rates, and improve customer relations in the process. However, a significant red flag is its 0/5 rating and lack of reviews, indicating potential issues with functionality, customer support, or overall usability. This makes it a risky choice unless thoroughly vetted and tested.

Our Verdict
Based on the information available, 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' is a safer choice for merchants simply looking to deter casual content copying. The positive (albeit limited) reviews provide some confidence in its functionality. However, its scope is narrow. 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' *could* be a powerful tool for businesses struggling with chargebacks, but the complete absence of positive feedback and the zero rating are significant warning signs.
Until 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' gathers positive reviews and demonstrates reliable functionality, it's difficult to recommend. Merchants considering it should proceed with extreme caution, potentially contacting the developer directly and thoroughly testing the app before committing to it. Unless chargebacks are a crippling issue, 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' seems like a more dependable option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the described functionality, 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' is likely simpler to set up. Disabling right-click functionality is a straightforward feature compared to integrating with payment processors and managing dispute resolution workflows.
Which app provides a better return on investment (ROI)?
It depends on the merchant's needs. If content theft is a significant concern, 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' might offer a good ROI. If chargebacks are a major drain on resources, 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' *could* provide a better ROI, but only if it functions effectively and reduces chargeback costs. The risk associated with the 0-rated app must be carefully considered.
Which app has better customer support?
Without more data, it's impossible to determine. The review count for 'Ongoing Disable Right Click' is too low to gauge customer support quality. 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' has no reviews, providing no insight whatsoever.
Does either app guarantee fraud prevention?
'Ongoing Disable Right Click' doesn't directly prevent fraud; it discourages content theft. 'WeTech‑Dispute Resolution' *aims* to mitigate fraud-related chargebacks by providing real-time alerts, but it doesn't guarantee complete prevention. It allows merchants to *react* to potentially fraudulent charges.
Which app is more likely to be actively maintained and updated in 2026?
It's difficult to say for sure. An app with existing reviews (even a small number) is generally more likely to be maintained than one with zero reviews. However, it's essential to check for recent updates and developer activity for both apps before making a decision.
