Ongoing SEO Sitemap Builder vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
Ongoing SEO Sitemap Builder and Sherpas: Smart SEO both aim to improve a Shopify store's search engine optimization (SEO), but they take vastly different approaches. Ongoing SEO Sitemap Builder focuses solely on sitemap generation – both HTML and XML – automating the creation and maintenance of sitemaps to improve indexing speed. Its key strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use, offering a 1-click solution with no code required. It targets merchants seeking a quick and easy way to manage their sitemap. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO suite that addresses multiple aspects of SEO, including meta tag optimization, image optimization, page speed improvement, link management, and structured data implementation. Sherpas: Smart SEO leverages AI (ChatGPT-4 Turbo) to generate meta tags and alt tags, indicating a focus on advanced SEO techniques. Its target audience is merchants seeking a broader SEO solution with more advanced features. While Ongoing SEO Sitemap Builder promises immediate results with sitemap creation, Sherpas: Smart SEO aims for more holistic and potentially longer-term SEO improvements. The difference between the number of reviews suggests that Sherpas is a more established and widely used app, potentially implying a larger user base and more extensive real-world testing.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a quick and simple solution specifically for sitemap generation, Ongoing SEO Sitemap Builder is the clear choice. Its ease of use and instant results make it ideal for smaller businesses or those new to SEO who want to ensure their site is properly indexed by search engines. The lack of reviews is a concern, however. Conversely, Sherpas: Smart SEO is better suited for larger businesses or those with more established online stores seeking a comprehensive SEO solution. Its AI-powered features, broader scope of SEO tools, and larger user base suggest a more robust platform capable of tackling complex SEO challenges. While it might require more time and effort to set up and manage, the potential for long-term SEO improvements is greater.
