OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
OnYou ‑ AI Virtual Try on and Sherpas: Smart SEO are both highly rated Shopify apps (5/5), but they cater to drastically different needs and target different segments of merchants. OnYou focuses on enhancing the customer experience for fashion brands by providing AI-powered virtual try-on capabilities, aiming to increase sales and reduce returns through personalized shopping. Sherpas, on the other hand, is dedicated to improving a store's SEO performance, driving organic traffic, and ultimately boosting sales through enhanced search engine rankings. While both aim to improve sales, they approach it from completely different angles: customer engagement versus search engine visibility. The core difference lies in their functionality. OnYou offers features like an AI shopping assistant, size recommendations, and effortless try-ons, all centered around the visual customer experience. Sherpas leverages AI (ChatGPT-4 Turbo) for meta tag and alt tag generation, focuses on optimizing images and page speed, and offers tools for link management and structured data implementation. This makes Sherpas a more technical app targeting merchants who want to actively manage and improve their store's SEO. The dramatically different number of reviews (4 vs. 842) suggests Sherpas has a much larger user base and is a more established app, despite both having perfect ratings.
