Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer vs Thankify: Smart Thank You Pagefor Shopify (2026)
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer and Thankify: Smart Thank You Page both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) for Shopify merchants through upsell and cross-sell strategies. However, they target different stages of the customer journey and offer distinct feature sets. Opus focuses on optimizing the cart experience with features like progress bars, free gifts, and urgency timers, targeting merchants looking to maximize immediate sales during the checkout process. Thankify, on the other hand, concentrates on the post-purchase experience, leveraging the thank you page to drive repeat sales, gather customer feedback, and boost social traffic. Opus' strength lies in its comprehensive cart customization and conversion optimization toolkit, appealing to merchants who want to aggressively boost AOV and reduce cart abandonment. Thankify excels in its no-code thank you page builder, allowing merchants to personalize the post-purchase journey and cultivate customer loyalty. The choice between the two depends largely on where a merchant sees the biggest opportunity for improvement - pre-purchase cart optimization or post-purchase engagement.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive cart optimization solution with a focus on immediate sales and reducing cart abandonment, Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is the stronger choice. Its established user base and wider range of features provide a more robust platform for increasing AOV during the checkout process.
However, for merchants who prioritize customer loyalty, gathering feedback, and leveraging the thank you page for post-purchase engagement and social traffic, Thankify: Smart Thank You Page is the better option. While it lacks a substantial review base, its focus on the thank you page offers a unique opportunity to nurture customer relationships and drive repeat business. If a merchant only has the resources for one app, Opus is the safer bet due to its established user base, but those specifically seeking post-purchase thank you page optimization should choose Thankify.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim to be easy to use with no-code interfaces. Opus touts code-free customization, while Thankify offers a drag-and-drop editor. Ultimately, ease of use will depend on the merchant's familiarity with cart customization versus page building.
Which app is more effective for abandoned cart recovery?
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer directly addresses abandoned cart recovery with its analytics feature, allowing merchants to understand why customers are leaving and potentially retarget them. Thankify doesn't directly address this issue.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, both apps can be used together. Opus optimizes the cart experience, while Thankify optimizes the thank you page. They address different stages of the customer journey and offer complementary functionalities.
Which app offers better long-term customer relationship building?
Thankify, with its focus on the thank you page, post-purchase surveys, and social share buttons, offers better potential for long-term customer relationship building compared to Opus' primary focus on immediate AOV increases.
Which app is best for merchants who are new to upsells?
Opus might be the better starting point due to its higher number of reviews and broader feature set. It gives merchants more tools to experiment with different upsell strategies. Thankify could then be added later as a next step once merchants are comfortable with AOV optimization.
