OTO ‑ Shipping Gateway vs Parcel Panel Order Trackingfor Shopify (2026)
OTO ‑ Shipping Gateway and Parcel Panel Order Tracking, while both receiving perfect 5/5 ratings, cater to vastly different needs and markets. OTO is specifically designed for merchants operating in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENA) region, offering integrations with regional carriers and focusing on localized shipping solutions like cash-on-delivery (COD) with frequent transfers. Its feature set targets comprehensive shipping management, from label printing and tracking to handling returns and addressing shipping issues. Parcel Panel Order Tracking, on the other hand, is a much more broadly applicable order tracking solution, evident by its significantly higher number of reviews, indicating a wider user base and a more established presence in the Shopify ecosystem. The core difference lies in their scope. OTO provides end-to-end shipping management within a specific geographic area, while Parcel Panel focuses solely on order tracking and aims to improve the post-purchase customer experience through updates and notifications. While OTO handles the entire shipping process, including carrier integrations and COD payments, Parcel Panel specializes in keeping customers informed about their order's journey, irrespective of the carrier or location. The low number of reviews for OTO suggests it's either a newer app or serves a niche market where the broader Parcel Panel is not suitable. For merchants outside the MENA region, Parcel Panel's wider appeal and focused tracking capabilities are likely more beneficial.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating within the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENA) region, OTO ‑ Shipping Gateway is the clear choice. Its integration with local carriers, COD payment support, and dedicated handling of shipping issues within that region make it a highly specialized and valuable tool. It offers a streamlined, all-in-one solution tailored to the specific challenges and opportunities of the MENA market.
However, for merchants operating outside the MENA region or those primarily focused on improving the post-purchase customer experience through proactive order tracking and notifications, Parcel Panel Order Tracking is the superior option. Its wider user base, as evidenced by the large number of reviews, suggests a more robust and generally applicable solution for global order tracking. While OTO handles the entire shipping process, including regional logistics, Parcel Panel specializes in order tracking regardless of region, making it a more versatile choice for most Shopify stores. Therefore, if you operate exclusively outside of MENA, Parcel Panel wins. If you operate within MENA, OTO is likely the best option.
Common Questions
Which app is better for merchants in Saudi Arabia?
OTO ‑ Shipping Gateway is designed specifically for merchants in Saudi Arabia, offering integrations with local carriers like SPL and SMSA. Parcel Panel Order Tracking is a good option for general order tracking but doesn't provide the localized support for regional carrier integration like OTO.
Does Parcel Panel offer Cash on Delivery (COD) options?
The app description for Parcel Panel does not explicitly mention support for COD. OTO, on the other hand, highlights secure COD payments as a key feature.
Which app is easier to set up?
Without more information, it is hard to say. Given Parcel Panel's larger install base, it potentially has streamlined onboarding. OTO may be more complex depending on your shipping setup and familiarity with MENA carriers.
Which app offers SMS notifications for tracking updates?
OTO ‑ Shipping Gateway explicitly states that it sends SMS and email order tracking updates to customers. Parcel Panel's description does not explicitly mention SMS notifications, although it is a common feature among tracking apps.
If I use multiple carriers, which app is better?
Parcel Panel might be a better choice if you use many carriers globally, as its primary function is tracking order status regardless of the underlying carrier. OTO specializes in specific integrations with regional carriers in the MENA and Turkey region. However, OTO also claims integration with international carriers such as Aramex, UPS, DHL, and J&T Express, but the emphasis is on MENA local couriers. It depends on the relative volumes between global and MENA-specific shipments.
