Parcel Panel Order Tracking vs PrinterCo Automatic Printingfor Shopify (2026)
Parcel Panel Order Tracking and PrinterCo Automatic Printing, while both categorized under 'Orders' in the Shopify app store, address fundamentally different needs. Parcel Panel focuses on enhancing the post-purchase experience by providing comprehensive order tracking for customers, leading to increased transparency and customer satisfaction. This is evidenced by its incredibly high rating of 5/5 based on almost 2000 reviews. PrinterCo, on the other hand, automates the internal order fulfillment process by enabling automatic printing of new orders, particularly useful for merchants needing immediate physical copies of orders for packing and shipping. The primary divergence lies in their target users: Parcel Panel caters to merchants seeking to improve customer experience and reduce WISMO (Where Is My Order?) inquiries, while PrinterCo is tailored towards businesses needing efficient order processing, especially those with physical storefronts or warehouse operations. PrinterCo's low rating and minimal review count of 3 suggest it's either a very new app, niche, or faces significant usability/performance challenges. PrinterCo's core strength is automation, eliminating the manual steps involved in printing orders, a critical feature for high-volume sellers requiring speed and accuracy. Also, printerCo is specifically designed to work with different hardware devices.

Our Verdict
Parcel Panel Order Tracking is the clear choice for most Shopify merchants focused on enhancing the customer's post-purchase journey. Its outstanding rating and high review count strongly suggest a user-friendly and effective solution for order tracking. PrinterCo Automatic Printing, despite its lower rating, might be valuable for specific businesses, such as restaurants, retailers with high order volumes, or those operating a warehouse where instant physical order tickets are essential for quick processing and packing. However, merchants should proceed with caution, given the limited reviews and potential integration complexities.
Before committing to PrinterCo, merchants should carefully verify the app's compatibility with their existing hardware setup (thermal printers, POS systems) and thoroughly test the integration process. Considering the vast difference in ratings and review counts, a free trial of both apps (if available) is highly recommended to assess which best fits the specific business needs and technical capabilities.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Parcel Panel Order Tracking is likely easier to set up since it does not require any specific hardware integrations. PrinterCo, on the other hand, requires connecting to thermal printers or POS terminals, which may involve more technical configuration.
Which app is better for improving customer satisfaction?
Parcel Panel Order Tracking is designed to directly improve customer satisfaction by providing proactive order tracking updates. While PrinterCo improves internal efficiency, its impact on direct customer satisfaction is less immediate.
Which app requires specific hardware?
PrinterCo requires compatible thermal printers, handheld POS terminals, and Android/Windows devices to function. Parcel Panel does not depend on any specific hardware.
If I run a restaurant, which app is more suitable?
PrinterCo Automatic Printing is likely more suitable for a restaurant needing to print order tickets automatically for the kitchen staff. Parcel Panel's tracking features are less relevant in this context.
Which app is more scalable for a growing e-commerce business?
Both apps offer scalability, but in different ways. Parcel Panel scales with order volume and offers more detailed tracking features as your business grows. PrinterCo scales with the number of printers or devices needing automatic printing to handle increased order flow.
