Parcel Panel Order Tracking vs SamedayAppfor Shopify (2026)
Parcel Panel Order Tracking and SamedayApp both operate within the Orders and Shipping categories on the Shopify app store, but cater to vastly different needs and merchant profiles. Parcel Panel positions itself as a robust order tracking solution, likely for a wide range of businesses looking to enhance the post-purchase experience for their customers. This is supported by its exceptionally high rating (5/5) and large number of reviews (1947), indicating widespread user satisfaction and reliability. SamedayApp, on the other hand, is specifically designed to integrate a particular delivery service (implied to be "Sameday") directly into the Shopify checkout process. Its focus is on facilitating order placement and generating shipping labels specifically for that service, and it appears to offer locker integration features. Its lower rating (2.5/5) and very small number of reviews (15) suggest that it might be tailored for merchants heavily reliant on "Sameday" deliveries, or it may have unresolved usability or functionality issues. It is positioned for merchants who want to directly integrate this delivery service with their checkout. The stark difference in ratings and review counts is a significant indicator of the overall user experience and reliability of each app. While Parcel Panel aims for broad applicability in order tracking, SamedayApp is very niche and focuses on streamlining shipping with a specific courier, potentially sacrificing wider compatibility or user-friendliness.

Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants looking to improve their post-purchase experience and provide reliable order tracking, Parcel Panel Order Tracking is the clear choice. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a robust and user-friendly platform. It would benefit businesses of any size that want to keep customers informed about their orders.
However, if a Shopify store exclusively or primarily uses the "Sameday" delivery service, and needs a streamlined process for generating shipping labels and managing locker deliveries directly within the Shopify admin panel, SamedayApp might be a viable option *if* the merchant is willing to overlook the low rating and small review count. They will need to carefully evaluate if the app truly meets their needs, and whether the convenience outweighs the potential risks implied by the negative feedback. They should probably also research the term “Sameday” to better understand the courier. The low rating suggests potential risks, such as bugs, poor customer support or compatibility issues.
