Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD vs seQura On‑Site Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Partialy - Partial Payment COD and seQura On-Site Messaging are both payment-related Shopify apps, but they address different merchant needs. Partialy focuses on enabling flexible payment options directly at checkout, specifically partial payments (deposits) and advanced Cash on Delivery (COD) rules. It aims to improve sales and reduce 'Return To Origin' (RTO) by allowing customers to pay a portion upfront and the rest upon delivery. This app directly handles payment processing and offers customization around COD and pre-paid discounts. In contrast, seQura On-Site Messaging is a marketing and conversion optimization tool that promotes the seQura payment solution throughout the customer's journey. It doesn't directly manage payments but rather uses on-site messaging to inform customers about the availability of seQura's flexible payment options. It focuses on increasing conversion and repeat purchases by highlighting the benefits of seQura as a payment method using customizable widgets and messaging without requiring any coding. This is purely a marketing app for seQura and less a payment processing app itself.

Our Verdict
If a merchant needs to directly implement partial payments and wants fine-grained control over COD rules (e.g., based on location, product, or discount), then Partialy - Partial Payment COD is the better choice. It offers more direct control over payment options and caters to businesses looking to reduce RTO and provide flexible payment terms.
However, if a merchant is already using seQura and wants to maximize the adoption of this payment solution among their customers, then seQura On-Site Messaging is the more appropriate app. It specifically focuses on increasing the visibility and appeal of seQura, leading to potentially higher conversion rates for those who prefer that payment method. It's a marketing tool, not a direct payment processor, and is designed to augment existing seQura integration.
Common Questions

Do I need to use seQura to use Partialy - Partial Payment COD?
No, Partialy - Partial Payment COD provides its own partial payment and COD management system. It is a standalone system and does not require seQura.
Can seQura On-Site Messaging handle COD payments?
No, seQura On-Site Messaging is designed to promote seQura's payment solutions, which likely involve online payments rather than COD. It doesn't directly manage COD transactions.
Which app is easier to set up?
seQura On-Site Messaging likely offers a simpler setup process due to its visual editor for creating messages. Partialy might require more configuration to set up the desired payment rules and integrate with the existing payment gateway.
Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
For a new store, Partialy can provide a broader appeal by enabling flexible payment plans. If a new store already integrates with seQura, using seQura On-Site Messaging is a very simple value-add from day one.
