Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD vs Sezzle Widgetfor Shopify (2026)
Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD and Sezzle Widget both address payment flexibility but target distinct merchant needs and customer behaviors. Partialy offers a highly customizable partial payment and Cash on Delivery (COD) system, allowing merchants to collect upfront deposits and manage COD orders with granular rules. This is particularly valuable for businesses seeking to reduce 'return to origin' (RTO) rates and manage pre-orders or deferred payment campaigns. Conversely, Sezzle Widget focuses on Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and longer-term financing options, aiming to increase average order value by showcasing payment flexibility prominently to customers. The key difference lies in their approach. Partialy provides direct control over partial payments and COD management, offering more customization and geographic flexibility (global). Sezzle integrates a third-party BNPL solution, simplifying implementation but limiting control and geographical reach to the US and Canada. This difference in control and reach significantly shapes the ideal merchant profile for each app.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating globally and needing precise control over partial payments and COD logistics – particularly those struggling with high RTO rates or managing pre-order campaigns – Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD is the superior choice. Its customization options allow for tailored solutions that directly address specific business needs.
However, if the primary goal is to boost average order value (AOV) specifically within the US and Canadian markets, and the merchant prefers a simpler integration with a well-known BNPL provider, Sezzle Widget offers a more streamlined solution. The trade-off is reduced customization and geographic limitations.
