Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD vs White‑labeled BNPL Widgetsfor Shopify (2026)
Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD and White‑labeled BNPL Widgets both fall under the Payments category in the Shopify App Store, but they cater to different needs and merchant profiles. Partialy focuses on providing flexible payment options like partial payments (deposits) and advanced Cash on Delivery (COD) rules, aiming to improve sales and reduce Return-to-Origin (RTO) rates. It's positioned towards merchants who want to offer customers the ability to pay a portion of the amount upfront and the rest upon delivery, coupled with extensive COD customization options. White‑labeled BNPL Widgets, on the other hand, centers on integrating a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution directly into the merchant's store with a white-label approach. This allows merchants to offer financing options seamlessly and promote them across various touchpoints like product and category pages. The main difference lies in their approach to payment flexibility. Partialy provides merchants with tools to handle partial payments and COD in a customizable way, while White‑labeled BNPL Widgets focuses on integrating a fully-fledged BNPL financing option. Partialy seems geared towards smaller to medium-sized businesses that need to manage COD effectively and offer basic payment flexibility. White‑labeled BNPL Widgets, given its white-label approach and dynamic messaging features, appears tailored to larger or enterprise-level merchants who already have a BNPL solution in place and want a seamless integration with a high degree of customization.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with high RTO rates, especially in regions where COD is prevalent, and wanting more granular control over COD rules, Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD is the better choice. It provides the necessary tools to manage partial payments and configure advanced COD rules. On the other hand, if a merchant already has a partnership with a Buy Now, Pay Later provider and wants to offer a seamless, white-labeled BNPL experience within their store with dynamic messaging to increase AOV, then White‑labeled BNPL Widgets is more appropriate. However, the lack of reviews and the 0/5 rating raises concerns about its reliability and ease of implementation. Therefore, further investigation is warranted before committing to White-labeled BNPL Widgets.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Partialy might have a slightly steeper learning curve due to the advanced COD rules, but White‑labeled BNPL Widgets requires integration with an existing BNPL provider, potentially making it more complex initially.
Which app is better for reducing RTO (Return to Origin)?
Partialy is specifically designed to reduce RTO by offering partial payments upfront and managing COD more effectively. White‑labeled BNPL Widgets doesn't directly address RTO.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it would be redundant. Both apps aim to increase sales by offering alternative payment options. Using both could confuse customers and create a complex checkout experience.
Which app is more cost-effective?
The provided information doesn't include pricing details for either app, so a cost comparison isn't possible. Merchants should research the pricing models of each app before making a decision.
Does either app integrate with specific BNPL providers?
The description of White‑labeled BNPL Widgets suggests it requires integration with a BNPL provider. Partialy does not require this, but allows collection of the remaining balance via online payment if the customer chooses that over COD.
