In 2026, both PayPal Pay Later Messaging and Wixpa Google Tag Manager - GTM are positioned within the 'Advertising - Other' category on Shopify. The merchant chooses between them depending on whether they want to directly influence point-of-sale purchasing decisions versus improving post-sale marketing strategy based on enhanced data. The rating difference should also be considered when making a decision, with Wixpa GTM scoring notably higher.
