Our Verdict
For merchants heavily invested in conversion rate optimization and A/B testing, PlusSales ‑ AI A/B Testing is the more suitable choice. It helps streamline the research phase and generates actionable hypotheses backed by data. However, due to the limited number of reviews, merchants should proceed cautiously and potentially conduct further research or seek trials. Report Toaster: Custom Reports is the better option for merchants needing comprehensive, customizable reporting on various aspects of their Shopify store, such as sales, inventory, and customer behavior. The larger number of reviews adds to its credibility.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Report Toaster is likely easier to set up and use, given that it relies on readily available Shopify data and offers pre-built report templates. PlusSales requires connecting to external services like GA4 and understanding AI-generated hypotheses, potentially demanding a steeper learning curve.
Which app is better for identifying specific problems on my product pages?
PlusSales is better at identifying problems on specific pages (homepage, product pages, cart, checkout) through its AI-driven analysis of UX issues and conversion data. Report Toaster provides data but doesn't pinpoint UX issues like PlusSales does.
Which app is more suitable for a beginner with limited analytics experience?
Report Toaster would be more suitable for a beginner due to its user-friendly interface, pre-built report templates, and readily available data. PlusSales demands an understanding of analytics concepts and A/B testing methodologies.
Which app offers better value for money?
Value depends on the merchant's specific needs. If the merchant needs help with creating A/B tests, PlusSales may be worth the investment. If the merchant only needs better reporting, Report Toaster would be more cost-effective.
Which app is better for automating tasks?
Report Toaster excels at automation through scheduled report delivery via email, SMS, or Slack. PlusSales automates CRO research but does not provide task automation in the same way.
