Popsixle ‑ Ad Tracking Pixel vs ShareitEffect: More Referralsfor Shopify (2026)
Popsixle ‑ Ad Tracking Pixel and ShareitEffect: More Referrals both fall under the 'Advertising - Other' category on the Shopify app store but address fundamentally different needs. Popsixle focuses on providing accurate ad tracking, likely empowering merchants to understand and optimize their advertising spend. Conversely, ShareitEffect aims to leverage existing customers to drive new sales through referral marketing, encouraging them to share their purchases on social media. Popsixle promises analytical power, while ShareitEffect sells the promise of organic growth and social proof. The stark difference in user ratings is a significant point of differentiation. Popsixle enjoys a perfect 5/5 rating based on 15 reviews, suggesting strong user satisfaction and reliability. ShareitEffect, however, suffers from a very low 1.9/5 rating with only 3 reviews, raising concerns about its effectiveness, usability, or customer support. The small number of reviews for both apps should also be considered - while Popsixle's rating is positive, a larger sample size would lend more confidence.

Our Verdict
Given the significant discrepancy in ratings, Popsixle ‑ Ad Tracking Pixel is the safer choice for merchants who need to accurately track their advertising performance. The 5/5 rating suggests a reliable and effective solution. ShareitEffect: More Referrals carries a significant risk due to its poor rating, indicating potential issues with its functionality or user experience. However, for a merchant specifically seeking referral marketing and willing to experiment, and potentially provide feedback to improve the app, ShareitEffect could be considered, but with extreme caution and low expectations.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific needs. If accurate ad tracking is the priority, Popsixle is the clear winner. If referral marketing is desired, further investigation into ShareitEffect's negative reviews and potential alternatives is strongly recommended. The small sample sizes for both apps should encourage the merchant to seek additional information, potentially contacting the developers or searching for external reviews beyond the Shopify app store.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
While ShareitEffect advertises 'no design skills needed,' Popsixle's setup complexity depends on the specific pixel implementation required. It's best to investigate their documentation or contact their support teams to ascertain which is simpler for your specific situation. Popsixle will likey require some technical knowhow to correctly setup.
Which app will generate more sales?
It's impossible to guarantee sales with either app. Popsixle aims to optimize existing ad spend for potentially higher ROI, while ShareitEffect hopes to attract new customers via referrals. Popsixle has higher probability of assisting sales.
Are there any hidden costs associated with either app?
Without additional information on pricing structures, it's impossible to determine if there are hidden costs. Check the app descriptions, FAQs, and pricing plans carefully for both apps. Also look to see if the app requests permissions that imply external cost such as via a 3rd party service they rely on.
Can these apps be used together?
Potentially. Popsixle's tracking data could theoretically be used to measure the effectiveness of ShareitEffect's referral program, though this requires careful planning and tracking. The two services are otherwise unconnected.
Which app has better customer support?
The user ratings suggest that Popsixle likely has better customer support, given the high satisfaction rate. However, without direct comparison or further data, it's difficult to say definitively. You should contact both services and see which response time is faster as well as which one answers your questions more thoughtfully.
