POWR: Customer Testimonials vs Rocket Google Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
POWR: Customer Testimonials focuses on collecting and displaying customer testimonials directly on your Shopify store, offering customization options for visual presentation and security features. It aims to provide social proof using various media formats and display styles, targeting merchants seeking control over their on-site testimonial presentation and offering features like auto-play carousels. Rocket Google Reviews, on the other hand, concentrates on leveraging Google Reviews to build trust. It has a significantly higher rating and a much larger number of reviews, suggesting broader user satisfaction and a potentially more straightforward implementation focused on external reviews. Rocket Google Reviews aims for a hands-off approach by importing reviews from Google. Because they have different focuses, POWR may be more geared toward merchants who want to showcase curated testimonials directly from their website using a range of display settings and control over media. Rocket Google Reviews would be better suited for merchants prioritizing external validation via Google, seeking a solution that capitalizes on their existing Google Reviews profile to enhance trust and potentially improve SEO. Rocket's solution appears to be more automated and focused on a single review source, where POWR's allows for broader customization and gathering reviews directly from the customer.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on building social proof directly on their store with highly customizable displays and media-rich testimonials, POWR: Customer Testimonials provides a versatile solution. However, the lower rating and fewer reviews suggest potential drawbacks in usability or customer satisfaction compared to Rocket Google Reviews. If you want full control over the reviews that appear on your website and how they look, consider POWR.
Rocket Google Reviews is the clear winner for merchants wanting a straightforward way to leverage their existing Google Reviews to build trust on their Shopify store. The high rating and large number of reviews strongly suggest a positive user experience. It's ideal for businesses that have invested in building a positive reputation on Google and want to easily showcase that on their website. Rocket Google Reviews, based on the data, is the safer and potentially easier to use bet.
