Product Picked vs Recomatic Related Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Product Picked and Recomatic Related Products both aim to improve the shopping experience and increase sales, but they approach this goal from different angles. Product Picked focuses on guiding shoppers through the product selection process using AI-powered quizzes and personalized recommendations, targeting merchants with complex product catalogs or those selling to customers who may be new to their niche. Recomatic Related Products, on the other hand, specializes in intelligently suggesting related products to customers already browsing a product page. It targets merchants looking to increase average order value and improve product discoverability through cross-selling and upselling. The primary difference lies in their application: Product Picked acts as a digital product expert, assisting in the initial product discovery phase, while Recomatic enhances the browsing experience once a customer has landed on a specific product. Product Picked emphasizes educating shoppers, whereas Recomatic focuses on leveraging sales data and product attributes to present highly relevant complementary products. A crucial distinguishing factor currently is the existing social proof: Recomatic boasts a 5-star rating with over a hundred reviews, indicating established reliability and user satisfaction, while Product Picked has no reviews at all at the time of assessment, representing a significant risk for prospective users.

Our Verdict
Given the current data available in 2026, Recomatic Related Products appears to be the more reliable and established option. Its strong rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a proven track record of success. It is especially beneficial for stores that want to effortlessly set up cross-selling and increase sales. If a merchant has complex products and needs AI-powered product guidance to help customers find the right product, Product Picked *could* be useful, however the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating presents a high level of risk.
Merchants considering Product Picked should proceed with extreme caution and perhaps await future updates or reviews before investing, especially if Recomatic can fulfil their needs. Recomatic is currently a safer, more predictable, and more proven choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, both apps claim easy setup with theme integration. However, Recomatic's established presence and user base suggest a smoother and more documented setup process, while Product Picked's lack of reviews provides little to confirm the claim.
Which app provides better reporting and analytics?
Recomatic explicitly mentions detailed conversion tracking and reporting, whereas Product Picked does not specify any reporting features, giving Recomatic the edge.
Which app is more focused on educating customers?
Product Picked is designed to educate shoppers on products, functioning as a 'digital assistant'. Recomatic focuses on showcasing relevant products, prioritizing cross-selling rather than education.
Which app is better for stores with a small product catalog?
Recomatic is likely more beneficial for smaller catalogs as it focuses on upselling and cross-selling existing items. Product Picked is designed to aid in navigation of larger, potentially more complex product lines.
Which app presents a greater risk for new users?
Product Picked, with its 0/5 rating and zero reviews, presents significantly higher risk due to the lack of social proof. Recomatic has a positive track record suggesting low risk.
