Product Samples by Luke vs Q:B2B Wholesale Hide Pricefor Shopify (2026)
Product Samples by Luke and Q:B2B Wholesale Hide Price are both Shopify apps in the 'Pricing' category, but they cater to entirely different merchant needs. Product Samples by Luke focuses on increasing conversion rates and reducing returns by enabling customers to order product samples. Its strength lies in providing a customer-centric approach to try-before-you-buy, suitable for merchants selling products where sensory experience is crucial (e.g., cosmetics, food, fabrics). It appears user-friendly with a perfect 5-star rating and 43 reviews, indicating positive user experience and strong value proposition centered on improved sales and customer satisfaction. Q:B2B Wholesale Hide Price, on the other hand, addresses the complexities of B2B and wholesale selling by enabling merchants to control price visibility based on market or region. Its strength is its ability to manage pricing discrepancies across different markets, protect profit margins, and create tailored wholesale experiences. It's targeted towards merchants engaged in wholesale or B2B commerce, especially those with a global reach and varied pricing strategies. However, its lack of reviews (0/5 with 0 reviews) is a significant drawback, suggesting it may be a newer app or that users have not had a positive experience. The 'Hide Add-To-Cart button' and 'Hide Buy Now button' features are specifically tailored for a B2B context, something absent in Product Samples by Luke.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to improve customer experience and reduce returns in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) environment, particularly those selling products where sensory experience is crucial, Product Samples by Luke is the clear winner. The app's high rating and positive reviews provide confidence in its effectiveness and ease of use.
However, for merchants involved in B2B or wholesale selling across multiple markets with varying pricing needs, Q:B2B Wholesale Hide Price offers a more relevant solution. While the lack of reviews is a concern, its feature set directly addresses the challenges of managing pricing complexity in B2B commerce. Merchants should proceed with caution and carefully evaluate the app's functionality and support before committing, given the lack of user feedback. Alternatively, they could wait for reviews to appear and the app to mature.
