Product Samples by Luke vs Request a Quote & Hide Pricesfor Shopify (2026)
Product Samples by Luke and Request a Quote & Hide Prices both aim to enhance the customer journey and impact pricing strategies but approach it from drastically different angles. Product Samples by Luke focuses on enabling customers to try products before committing to a full purchase, promoting customer satisfaction and potentially reducing returns. It positions itself as a solution to boost sales by offering free or discounted samples, ultimately aiming for bigger basket sizes and lower return rates. The target audience is merchants who prioritize customer satisfaction and want to offer a risk-free trial experience. Request a Quote & Hide Prices, in contrast, concentrates on flexible pricing and negotiation, catering to businesses with complex or custom product offerings where fixed pricing is impractical. The core difference lies in their intended use. Product Samples by Luke is ideal for products where sampling is feasible and beneficial (e.g., cosmetics, food items, fabrics). Request a Quote & Hide Prices suits businesses selling customizable goods, large quantities, or services where pricing depends on specific customer requirements. Product Samples by Luke aims to increase conversion rates by removing purchase hesitation; Request a Quote & Hide Prices aims to generate leads and manage price negotiations effectively. While both share the 'Pricing' category, their functionalities hardly overlap, addressing completely different aspects of the pricing strategy.

Our Verdict
Product Samples by Luke is the clear choice for merchants selling products where sampling is a practical way to build trust and reduce purchase hesitation. It's particularly well-suited for industries like cosmetics, food, and home goods, where customers benefit from experiencing the product firsthand. The higher number of reviews, all positive, further supports its effectiveness and user satisfaction.
Request a Quote & Hide Prices serves a completely different niche. It's ideal for businesses offering highly customized products or services, enterprise-level sales, or dealing with fluctuating material costs. These companies may find fixed pricing ineffective and benefit from a more flexible, negotiation-based approach. While it shows a perfect rating, the single review suggests it may be a newer app or have a narrower target audience, requiring more careful consideration before implementation.
