Product Samples by Luke vs UnitWisefor Shopify (2026)
Product Samples by Luke and UnitWise are both pricing-related Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but they address vastly different needs. Product Samples aims to increase sales and customer satisfaction by allowing customers to order samples before committing to a full purchase. Its strength lies in reducing returns and boosting basket size. UnitWise, on the other hand, focuses on transparent pricing by displaying unit prices and quantities, potentially increasing larger volume sales and complying with jurisdictional requirements. The key difference lies in their application. Product Samples targets merchants selling products where sampling is beneficial (e.g., cosmetics, fragrances, food), aiming for higher customer satisfaction and lower return rates. UnitWise is designed for merchants selling products where unit pricing is relevant or legally required (e.g., food, cleaning supplies, bulk goods), boosting sales by highlighting savings through quantity purchases. While both aim to improve sales, Product Samples prioritizes trial and satisfaction, while UnitWise prioritizes transparency and value comparison.
