Product Samples by Luke vs VariPrice ‑ POS Custom Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
Product Samples by Luke and VariPrice ‑ POS Custom Pricing are both pricing-related apps with perfect 5/5 ratings, but they cater to fundamentally different needs and target audiences. Product Samples aims to increase online sales and customer satisfaction by allowing customers to purchase samples, thereby reducing returns and encouraging larger orders. Its strength lies in boosting online customer confidence and providing product trial opportunities. VariPrice, on the other hand, focuses on optimizing pricing strategies across different sales channels (online store vs. Point of Sale locations). It directly addresses the challenge of managing variable pricing, particularly for merchants with both online and brick-and-mortar operations. Our Verdict
Product Samples by Luke is the better choice for online-only merchants who want to increase conversion rates and minimize returns by allowing customers to try samples before committing to a full purchase. It focuses on the customer experience and aims to build trust. VariPrice ‑ POS Custom Pricing is ideal for businesses that operate both an online store and physical POS locations and need a straightforward solution to manage differing prices across these channels. While both apps have perfect ratings, the significantly higher number of reviews for Product Samples by Luke suggests it has a more established user base and potentially wider applicability across different types of online stores. Unless you have a POS system requiring custom pricing, Product Samples by Luke seems to provide broader utility.
