Progus Store Locator Map vs PWC: Favicon Tab Animationfor Shopify (2026)
Progus Store Locator Map and PWC: Favicon Tab Animation cater to vastly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Progus Store Locator Map focuses on enhancing the in-store shopping experience by providing a user-friendly and customizable store locator solution. Its strength lies in connecting online customers with physical store locations, reducing support inquiries, and providing analytics on customer search behavior. This positions it as a tool for merchants with physical stores looking to drive foot traffic and improve customer understanding. In contrast, PWC: Favicon Tab Animation is designed to re-engage inactive website visitors and recover abandoned carts. Its primary value proposition is to draw attention back to the store's tab, turning potentially lost customers into active shoppers. The key difference lies in their target: Progus focuses on brick-and-mortar integration, while PWC focuses solely on online user engagement.

Our Verdict
The choice between Progus Store Locator Map and PWC: Favicon Tab Animation depends entirely on the merchant's business model. If the merchant has physical stores and wants to drive in-store traffic while gaining insights into customer location preferences, Progus Store Locator Map is the clear choice. Its ease of use, advanced features like bulk import and analytics, and multilingual support make it a robust solution for multi-location businesses.
However, if the merchant operates solely online and aims to recapture potentially lost sales by re-engaging inactive users, PWC: Favicon Tab Animation is the more suitable option. While its review count is significantly lower, the unique approach to tab animation and the ability to customize the messaging to address cart abandonment can prove valuable for e-commerce focused businesses. The low implementation barrier is another strength.
Common Questions
Which app requires more technical expertise to set up?
Based on the descriptions, neither app seems to require significant technical expertise. Progus Store Locator Map highlights quick installation without requiring an API key. PWC: Favicon Tab Animation focuses on ease of customization for text and image.
Can Progus Store Locator Map help with online sales?
Indirectly. By directing customers to physical stores, it can influence online research leading to in-store purchases. However, it doesn't directly impact online sales.
Does PWC: Favicon Tab Animation offer any A/B testing capabilities?
The provided description does not mention any A/B testing features. You'd need to confirm this with the app developer.
Which app is likely to be more expensive in the long run?

This would need to be researched outside of the provided data.
How do I choose between these two apps?
