Progus Store Locator Map vs Script Wizard ‑ Insert My Codefor Shopify (2026)
Progus Store Locator Map and Script Wizard ‑ Insert My Code serve drastically different purposes for Shopify merchants in 2026, despite sharing the 'Storefronts - Other' category. Progus Store Locator Map is designed for merchants with physical locations who want to make it easier for customers to find them. Its strengths lie in its user-friendly interface, customizable map styles, and advanced analytics for understanding customer search behavior. In contrast, Script Wizard ‑ Insert My Code targets technically-minded merchants who need to inject custom scripts (e.g., tracking pixels, analytics code) into their Shopify store without directly editing the theme code. The key difference is their core functionality: one helps customers find physical stores, while the other helps merchants customize their store's functionality via custom scripts. Progus Store Locator Map emphasizes ease of use through features like no API key requirement and a bulk import system. Script Wizard ‑ Insert My Code focuses on empowering merchants to optimize their store through custom code without requiring extensive coding knowledge. Our Verdict
For merchants with physical stores who want to drive in-store traffic and improve customer experience, Progus Store Locator Map is the clear choice. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution. The built-in analytics are also valuable. Script Wizard ‑ Insert My Code is better suited for more technically inclined merchants who need a simple way to add custom scripts to their store. Given the lack of reviews and the potentially niche use case, merchants should carefully evaluate whether this app addresses their specific needs. For most merchants, Progus Store Locator Map is likely to provide more immediate and tangible benefits, assuming they have physical locations.
