Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on maximizing the effectiveness of their popups with advanced customization options and sophisticated targeting, Promolayer Popups for Pros is likely the better choice. The emphasis on conversion rate optimization expertise is a strong selling point. Conversely, Trustoo Popups, Email Popups is more suitable for merchants who need a more holistic e-commerce marketing platform with email campaigns, automation, and integrations.
While Trustoo has a vastly higher review count, the difference in features suggests that Promolayer is targeting a more niche group of users who want to really drill down and get their popups exactly right. If a merchant is happy with their email platform, then Promolayer is the obvious choice.
