Quick Quote vs Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotechfor Shopify (2026)
Quick Quote and Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech are both Shopify apps designed to enable merchants to handle quote requests, but they differ significantly in their current market validation and feature sets. Quick Quote boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 56 reviews, indicating strong user satisfaction and a proven track record. It focuses on a streamlined workflow from cart to quote acceptance, incorporating email notifications and quote status tracking. This positions it well for merchants already familiar with Shopify's cart system and seeking a direct, integrated quote process. Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech, on the other hand, lacks any ratings or reviews, making it difficult to assess its real-world performance. Its core functionality revolves around adding a "Get Quote" button to product pages and managing requests within the app admin. This may appeal more to merchants prioritizing a dedicated inquiry channel, particularly for custom orders or B2B inquiries. The lack of user feedback, however, presents a significant risk. The crucial difference is the cart-based quote submission of Quick Quote versus the product page-based request with Request Quote, catering to different customer interaction flows. In 2026, established apps will have more value due to reliability and feature maturity.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a well-established and user-approved solution integrated directly into their existing Shopify cart workflow, Quick Quote is the safer and more reliable choice. The positive reviews and explicit features like email notifications and quote status tracking provide confidence in its functionality and ease of use.
Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech, while potentially offering a useful feature for custom orders through its 'Get Quote' button, carries a significant risk due to the complete lack of user feedback. It might be suitable for merchants comfortable with being early adopters and needing that specific "Get Quote" functionality, but they should proceed with caution and thorough testing. The absence of social proof is a major consideration when choosing between the apps in 2026.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the available data, Quick Quote is likely easier to use due to the positive user reviews, suggesting a smoother user experience. The lack of reviews for Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech makes its ease of use unknown.
Does Quick Quote or Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech better support B2B requests?
Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech is explicitly marketed towards B2B inquiries and bulk requests with its 'Get Quote' button. While Quick Quote can handle B2B requests, its cart-based approach might be less ideal for complex bulk quote scenarios.
Which app is better for stores that heavily rely on custom product orders?
Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech, with its product page button and focus on custom orders, seems better suited. Quick Quote focuses more on items added from a cart, which might not be optimized for fully custom products lacking a product page.
What happens after a customer submits a quote request in each app?
In Quick Quote, the merchant receives an email and an editable quote is created in the app admin, allowing them to send a response with discounted pricing. With Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech, submissions appear in the admin app for review, but the process of sending a response is less clear in its description. The lack of reviews makes confirming the process harder.
Which app offers better long-term reliability and support in 2026?
Given the existing user base and positive reviews, Quick Quote likely offers better long-term reliability and support. A larger user base encourages developers to maintain and improve the app, while Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech's lack of reviews gives no insight into this aspect of their development.
