Quick Quote vs Resell Pro ‑ collect bidsfor Shopify (2026)
Quick Quote and Resell Pro ‑ collect bids both fall under the 'Pricing quotes' category on the Shopify app store, but they offer vastly different approaches to pricing flexibility. Quick Quote facilitates direct quote requests and negotiation within the framework of a standard shopping cart experience. It empowers merchants to offer custom pricing and discounts after a customer initiates a purchase request. Resell Pro ‑ collect bids, on the other hand, introduces a bidding system where customers proactively propose their own prices, fostering a more competitive and potentially lower-price environment. The fundamental difference lies in control and customer behavior. Quick Quote is suited for merchants who want to maintain control over pricing but offer personalized deals. Resell Pro ‑ collect bids hands more control to the customer, potentially attracting bargain hunters and price-sensitive shoppers. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's desired pricing strategy and target customer profile. One facilitates controlled negotiation; the other, open bidding.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to maintain control over their pricing while offering personalized discounts based on specific customer requests, Quick Quote is the superior choice. Its integrated approach within the existing cart flow and the merchant's ability to review and modify quotes offer a level of pricing management that Resell Pro ‑ collect bids cannot provide.
However, if a merchant's primary goal is to rapidly move inventory, attract price-sensitive customers, and experiment with customer-driven pricing, Resell Pro ‑ collect bids may be worth exploring. Keep in mind the lack of reviews might be a red flag; a more established bidding app might be a better alternative if that's your goal.
