Quick Quote vs Tipo Product Auctionfor Shopify (2026)
Quick Quote and Tipo Product Auction both fall under the 'Pricing' and 'Pricing quotes' categories on the Shopify app store, but they cater to distinctly different business needs. Quick Quote focuses on enabling customers to request custom quotes for items in their cart, streamlining the negotiation and sales process for merchants who offer customized products, bulk orders, or require pricing flexibility. It empowers merchants to respond with tailored pricing and discounts, fostering a personalized buying experience. In contrast, Tipo Product Auction facilitates auction-style sales within a Shopify store. Its focus is on creating excitement and competitive bidding to maximize the sale price of individual items or small batches of products. Quick Quote is targeted toward merchants who sell complex products where pricing isn't straightforward, or those wanting a more consultative sales approach. Its strength lies in simplifying the quote request and response workflow, enabling effective communication and negotiation directly through the app. Tipo Product Auction, however, appeals to merchants looking to leverage the thrill of auctions to drive engagement and potentially higher revenue. Its strengths lie in its robust auction management features, including reserve prices, increment rules, and automatic bidding extensions, creating a competitive and dynamic sales environment. The user-friendliness mentioned in Tipo Product Auction's description may appeal to merchants less comfortable with complex setup processes, though Quick Quote appears equally straightforward.

Our Verdict
The choice between Quick Quote and Tipo Product Auction hinges entirely on a merchant's business model and sales strategy. Quick Quote is the superior option for businesses that routinely provide custom quotes, offer variable pricing based on quantity or specific requirements, or aim to build stronger relationships with customers through personalized offers. The ability to manage quote requests, negotiate pricing, and track quote status within a streamlined interface makes Quick Quote a valuable tool for increasing sales efficiency and improving customer satisfaction.
Conversely, Tipo Product Auction is better suited for merchants who sell unique or limited-edition items, are looking to liquidate excess inventory, or want to introduce an element of excitement and competition to their sales process. If your goal is to maximize the potential revenue from each item through competitive bidding and create a dynamic shopping experience, then Tipo Product Auction provides the necessary features to achieve that. Merchants who offer standardized products at fixed prices are unlikely to find value in either app.
Common Questions
Which app is better for B2B sales?
Quick Quote is likely more valuable for B2B scenarios, as it allows for negotiation and custom pricing often required for wholesale orders. Tipo Product Auction might work for B2B liquidation, but it's less common.
Which app is better for stores with only a few products?
Neither app is inherently 'better' based solely on product count. However, Tipo Product Auction may be more useful if those few products are unique or highly desirable, lending themselves well to an auction format. Quick Quote is better for offering volume discounts on a small set of products.
Can both apps be used together?
Technically possible, but logically unlikely. They address completely different sales strategies. Using both could confuse customers.
Does either app offer integration with other sales channels besides Shopify?
The descriptions don't mention integrations with other sales channels. Further research is needed to determine if either app can connect to platforms like Amazon or eBay.
What are the potential drawbacks of using Tipo Product Auction?
A potential drawback is the risk of not meeting the reserve price, resulting in the item not being sold. Also, managing and monitoring auctions can be time-consuming. Low bidding activity can also deter users.
