Quick Quote vs Treo · Auction Plusfor Shopify (2026)
Quick Quote and Treo · Auction Plus both address pricing strategies on Shopify, but cater to vastly different needs and business models. Quick Quote focuses on enabling merchants to provide custom quotes to customers within the standard cart workflow. Its strength lies in facilitating personalized pricing and negotiation for individual orders, making it ideal for businesses selling customizable products, handling bulk orders, or requiring price adjustments based on specific customer needs. Treo · Auction Plus, on the other hand, provides a suite of tools for dynamic pricing via auctions and 'Make an Offer' features. Its primary focus is on maximizing revenue for unique items and engaging customers through interactive bidding or negotiation experiences. Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to offer personalized pricing and discounts for custom orders or bulk purchases, Quick Quote is the more suitable choice. It offers a streamlined process for generating, managing, and communicating quotes directly to customers, fostering a direct negotiation experience. If, however, a merchant aims to create excitement around unique products, drive competitive bidding, and potentially increase revenue through auctions or flexible offers, Treo · Auction Plus is the better option. The 'Make an Offer' functionality also provides an alternative for customers hesitant to pay the full asking price, potentially converting undecided shoppers into buyers.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Quick Quote is likely simpler to set up as it directly integrates into the existing cart functionality. Treo · Auction Plus likely requires more configuration due to scheduling auctions and managing bidding rules.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Treo · Auction Plus, with its auction and 'Make an Offer' features, potentially has a higher upside for increasing AOV if auctions are strategically managed. Quick Quote can also increase AOV by closing deals that might otherwise be lost due to price sensitivity.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Potentially, but it could create confusion for customers. Using both would require careful consideration of which products are best suited for each approach. A better strategy is to evaluate your product portfolio and choose the app best aligned with your overall pricing strategy.
Which app offers better customer support?
Treo · Auction Plus explicitly mentions North American-based live chat and email support, which suggests a stronger focus on immediate support. Quick Quote does not mention specific support channels, so the quality of support is less clear.
Which app is better for products with fluctuating costs?
Quick Quote is likely better. It allows you to provide an accurate price based on the cost at the time of the quote. Auction Plus might be difficult, or too slow, to adjust to cost fluctuations.
