Our Verdict
For merchants selling products with variable pricing or offering bespoke solutions, Quick Quote is the clear choice. Its ability to manage quote requests, provide personalized pricing, and facilitate customer communication fills a critical need. Merchants running frequent sales and promotions where the standard Shopify discount display is insufficient will benefit significantly from WaveSoft Discount. Its focus on improving discount visibility directly addresses the problem of abandoned carts due to hidden pricing, ultimately leading to higher sales. While Quick Quote boasts a higher rating and more reviews, the best app ultimately depends on the specific needs of the merchant.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
It depends. Quick Quote could increase average order value by negotiating larger custom orders. WaveSoft Discount increases volume, but not necessarily average order value.
Does Quick Quote handle discount codes automatically?
No, Quick Quote allows you to create custom quotes with pricing discounts, but it doesn't integrate with existing Shopify discount codes. You set the discount within the quote itself.
Can WaveSoft Discount be used to offer tiered discounts?
The app description doesn't explicitly mention tiered discounts. It primarily focuses on displaying existing discounts on product pages. Additional functionality may require reaching out to the developer.
If I only want to improve the display of discounts on sale items, is WaveSoft Discount the right app?
Yes, WaveSoft Discount is specifically designed to improve the visibility of discounts on product pages. This makes it ideal for sale items.
How does Quick Quote handle inventory management when a quote is accepted?
The description doesn't specify how inventory is managed. This functionality likely relies on standard Shopify inventory tracking, but it's important to ensure that inventory is accurately managed after a quote is accepted.
