QuickGift: Better Receipts vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
QuickGift: Better Receipts and Selling Point both aim to improve the gifting experience on Shopify, but they target different stages of the gifting process and serve distinct merchant needs. QuickGift focuses on enhancing the post-purchase gifting experience by providing tools for creating and managing customized gift receipts. This includes the ability to generate separate receipts for gift items within an order, offer email delivery, and maintain branding consistency. Its strength lies in streamlining the checkout process for gift purchases, particularly within a POS environment. Selling Point, conversely, addresses the pre-purchase aspect of gifting by facilitating the migration and management of gift cards and store credits. It solves the challenge of transitioning existing gift card programs from other platforms to Shopify, allowing merchants to consolidate their gifting infrastructure. Its key benefit is simplifying the complex process of transferring large volumes of gift card data, saving merchants time and development costs. While both are in the 'Gifts' category, they cater to merchants with different pain points: QuickGift for optimizing gift receipt management and Selling Point for simplifying gift card migration.

Our Verdict
The choice between QuickGift: Better Receipts and Selling Point hinges on the specific needs of the merchant. If the merchant is primarily focused on optimizing the gift-giving experience at the point of sale and simplifying gift receipt management, particularly in a brick-and-mortar store, QuickGift is the better option. Its focus on customizing and distributing gift receipts both physically and digitally addresses that need directly.
However, if the merchant is migrating to Shopify from another e-commerce platform or POS system and has an existing gift card program that needs to be transferred, Selling Point is the clear choice. Its ability to migrate gift cards and store credits in bulk saves considerable time and resources, making it invaluable for merchants prioritizing a smooth transition of their existing gifting infrastructure.
