Our Verdict
For B2B businesses needing to provide custom quotes, gather detailed customer information, and integrate with tools for quote funnel analysis, Quotify: Request a Quote is the clear winner. Its focus on personalized proposals and seamless quote-to-order conversion is crucial for this business model. Tipo Product Auction is the superior choice if your goal is to implement auction-based sales, drive engagement through competitive bidding, and discover optimal pricing for your products. If you want to clear old inventory quickly, this app may be a good choice. It is less suited to businesses that need to provide highly customized quotes.
Ultimately, the best app depends on the specific business needs. If you're selling standard products and want to create a competitive environment to drive sales, Tipo Product Auction is the better option. If you are a B2B that handles custom jobs, go with Quotify.
Common Questions
Can Quotify be used for standard products with set pricing?
While Quotify *can* be used, its primary strength lies in handling custom quote requests. For standard products, a simpler "add to cart" functionality might be more efficient. Quotify will likely add overhead.
Does Tipo Product Auction offer options for silent or Dutch auctions?
The provided description only mentions standard auction features like reserve price and auto-bidding. There's no explicit mention of silent or Dutch auction capabilities in the data.
How does Quotify handle multiple quotes for the same customer?
The app description mentions 'Unlimited quote requests,' suggesting it can handle multiple quotes from the same customer, allowing for different configurations or versions of the requested product or service. However, the user interface for quote tracking and management should be assessed during testing.
Can Tipo Product Auction be used for intangible services?
Yes, Tipo Product Auction *could* be used for services, although its feature set, focused on tangible products with bidding increments and buyout prices, might not be perfectly optimized for service auctions. Consider how well the bidding and payment process align with the specific service being offered.
Is Quotify able to manage large product catalogs?
The description focuses on the quote request process and does not mention specific limitations on product catalog size. Its ability to handle large catalogs likely depends on integration with the Shopify platform and the responsiveness of its quote request form with numerous products available.
