Our Verdict
Given the available data, Translate Language Auto • EA appears to be the stronger choice for merchants seeking a quick and comprehensive solution for reaching a global audience. Its high rating, numerous reviews, and emphasis on ease of use make it an attractive option for quickly translating a store. Rabbi Market Currency switcher might be suitable for stores facing limitations with Shopify Payments in certain regions and wanting a localized currency selection experience, but the low rating and limited reviews raise concerns. In general, a higher rated and widely used app such as Translate Language Auto • EA is the safer initial choice.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Translate Language Auto • EA is significantly easier to set up, promising completion in less than a minute thanks to its reliance on Google Translate automation. The setup complexity of Rabbi Market Currency switcher is not explicitly stated.
Which app offers better currency support if Shopify Payments isn't available?
Rabbi Market Currency switcher explicitly addresses this scenario, claiming to display prices in local currency even where Shopify Payments isn't supported. Translate Language Auto • EA primarily focuses on language translation and does not mention currency support.
Which app is better for SEO?
Neither app description directly addresses SEO benefits. However, providing content in multiple languages via Translate Language Auto • EA *could* indirectly improve SEO by allowing search engines to index your site in different languages and thus rank for international search queries. It depends greatly on the quality of the translations.
What's the main difference between the two apps?
The primary difference is their core functionality. Rabbi Market Currency switcher focuses on currency switching and market selection, while Translate Language Auto • EA concentrates on automatically translating store content into multiple languages. They cater to distinct aspects of internationalization.
Should I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it depends on your store's specific needs. If you require both automatic translation *and* a solution for displaying local currencies, especially if you encounter limitations with Shopify Payments, then using both apps *might* be beneficial. However, it is important to consider that Translate Language Auto • EA doesn't handle currency exchange, and Rabbi Market doesn't handle store language translation. If you only need currency conversion *or* store translation, then only install the respective application.
