Razorpay Affordability Widget vs Tence Add‑Onsfor Shopify (2026)
The Razorpay Affordability Widget focuses on highlighting payment affordability options, specifically EMI, Pay Later, and offers, directly on product pages to improve conversion rates. Its target audience is merchants already using Razorpay Secure App and seeking to reduce cart abandonment by proactively displaying payment options. Key features include dynamic EMI calculation and widget customization. However, it suffers from a very low rating and relatively few reviews. Tence Add-Ons, in contrast, takes a more general approach, offering a suite of theme enhancements including a smart top bar, installment options, and improved search functionality. It targets merchants seeking to add multiple features to their store without directly modifying theme files. While it boasts a perfect rating, the single review makes it difficult to ascertain the general quality of the app. The key differentiator is that Tence offers broader theme enhancements while Razorpay is payment-focused.

Our Verdict
For merchants already using Razorpay and struggling with cart abandonment due to perceived high costs, the Razorpay Affordability Widget *might* be worth exploring, *if* they are willing to troubleshoot the low rating problems and Razorpay dependency. However, given the incredibly low rating and limited functionality, significant caution is advised and alternative solutions should be strongly considered.
Tence Add-Ons presents a more attractive proposition for merchants seeking to enhance their theme with multiple features without code modifications. While the single review is a drawback, the promise of multiple features running efficiently is appealing. Merchants should proceed with caution, testing thoroughly to ensure compatibility and functionality.
